Al Islam's reading, study and daily-practice tools are free: the Qur'an, the hadith library, prayer times, reminders, the Qibla, the calendar, Tasbeeh, notes, search, collections and history.
Al Islam Premium is an optional subscription. It removes advertising, backs up your collections, opens the deeper insights in your reading history, lifts a few limits, and turns on Intelligence — AI tools for translating, listening to and asking about what you read, which run on your own AI provider account.

No advertising
Premium removes every banner and every full-screen ad, as soon as it applies. Nothing sits between you and what you came to read.
Backup and sync for Collections
Your Collections are backed up and kept in step across every device where you sign in — the verses and narrations you have saved, the notes on them, standalone notes with their drawings, and your folders.
- In the background. Changes are kept in step as you make them, whenever you are online.
- Offline. Changes made without a connection are kept, and sent when you reconnect.
- Sync Now, in Profile, syncs immediately and shows when your collections last synced.
- A new phone. Sign in, and your collections arrive.
- Secure. Your data travels over encrypted connections, and your records are available only to your own account.
Backup covers your Collections, with the notes inside them, and your account details. Your reading history, tasbeeh records, prayer and calendar settings, fasting log, imported fonts, AI connections and saved AI translations stay on the device where you made them. The Privacy Policy gives the full account.
History insights and the Studio
Everything History records remains free: the log itself, the dashboard's headline figures, streaks and reading time. Premium opens the detail behind them — the Insights deck, which reads the same period more deeply:

Your numbers are the same with or without Premium — a locked card holds your real figures, never estimates or sample data. Going over a free limit never deletes anything: extra goals, lenses and passages are kept, and appear again with Premium.
Unlimited prayer-time locations
The free plan keeps five Prayer Times locations — enough for home, work and a few places you visit. Premium removes the limit, for frequent travellers or anyone keeping locations for family in other cities. Looking up a place without saving it is always free.
Intelligence
Premium turns on the Intelligence tools throughout the app:

Plans and Prices
Premium is an auto-renewing subscription through Google Play, in two plans:

Both plans include exactly the same features.
Prices are shown live, in your own currency, as Google Play provides them for your account and country at the moment you look. Where the app compares the two plans, the comparison is worked out from those live prices. If a price has not loaded yet, the app says so rather than showing a figure that may not be current.
Payment is handled entirely by Google Play. Al Islam never receives your card number, billing address or bank details.
To subscribe, open Premium from your Profile, or from any feature that needs it. Premium applies to your Al Islam account, on every device where you sign in.
Advertising on the Free Plan
The free plan is supported by advertising, within clear limits.
Full-screen ads
- At most five a day. The count is kept across the whole day, however often you open the app.
- Spaced apart — at least three minutes between one and the next.
- Never as you arrive. The first screens you open after starting the app are never interrupted by an ad.
- Never a wait. If an ad is not ready, you go straight to where you were going.
After a full-screen ad, a short panel tells you which of the day's five it was, with a meter, alongside what Premium changes and the current price of each plan — so you always know where you stand.
Banners
Banners appear in a small number of places on the free plan.
What advertising never touches
Ads never carry your personal content: not your notes, your collections, your reading history, your prayer data, your location, or your AI activity. We do not sell personal data, and we do not build advertising profiles from what you read or study.

Intelligence and What It Costs
Intelligence works differently from most apps with AI in them, and it is worth understanding before you subscribe.
Two separate things

Al Islam does not sell model access. There are no credits included with the subscription and none to run out of, no mark-up on usage, and no share of what your provider charges.
What this means for you
- Your content goes straight to your provider. Requests travel from your device to the provider you chose, directly.
- Your costs are itemised by your provider, not hidden inside a subscription price.
- Your choice of model is yours — including a model released today, without waiting for an app update.
What it can cost
Anywhere from nothing upwards, and you decide:
- Nothing. Several supported options run models on your own computer, with no key, no account and no bill, and nothing leaving your network.
- A little. Dedicated translation services and open-model platforms are inexpensive, and several have free allowances that cover occasional reading.
- More, if you choose. The largest commercial models cost the most, and are usually the most capable.
Two things keep costs down whichever provider you use. Translations are saved with the passage they came from, so the same passage is never translated — or paid for — twice. And asking again costs nothing: a saved translation is served from your device.
The Activity screen shows what you have used — totals, day by day, per connection, and request by request — so your provider's invoice is never a surprise. Your provider's own console remains the record of what you are billed.
Managing Your Subscription
Cancelling
Cancel at any time in Google Play → Subscriptions.
- Cancelling stops future renewals. Premium stays available until the end of the period you have already paid for.
- Uninstalling the app does not cancel a subscription. A subscription belongs to your Google account, not to the installation, so cancel it through Google Play.
Refunds
Refunds are handled under Google Play's refund policy, and requests are usually best made directly to Google Play.
If you paid and Premium was not applied to your account, email support.alislam@lymrah.com and we will put it right, or support your refund request in full. Statutory rights where you live are unaffected; see the Terms and Conditions.
Price changes
If the price of an existing subscription changes, you are told in advance, as Google Play requires, and you can cancel before the change takes effect. A change never applies to a period you have already paid for.
When a Subscription Ends
Nothing you made is deleted. Everything you created while subscribed stays yours and stays on your device.
- Intelligence tools show as locked rather than disappearing. Your saved translations stay readable in your Library, your commands, lanes and settings are kept, your provider connections stay configured — and removing your own keys is always available to you.
- Collections stop syncing. Your collections on the device are unchanged, and what was backed up remains in your account until you delete it.
- Prayer-time locations beyond the free five are kept; you can add more when you subscribe again.
- History insights show their headline figures, and extra goals, lenses and Radar passages are kept.
- Advertising returns, within the limits above.
Subscribing again restores everything exactly as it was.
Questions
Can I use Al Islam without Premium? Yes. Every core feature is free and complete — the Qur'an, the hadith library, prayer times, reminders, the Qibla, the calendar, Tasbeeh, notes, search, collections, history, widgets and text customization. Premium removes advertising, adds backup, insights and Intelligence, and lifts a few limits.
Do I need an AI subscription as well? To use Intelligence, you need an account with an AI provider — which can cost nothing, using a model that runs on your own computer.
Why isn't AI usage included in Premium? So that your content goes directly from your device to the provider you chose, your costs stay visible and in your control, and you can use any model you like, including the newest.
Does Premium back up my notes and history? Your notes, yes: they live in Collections, so backup covers them with everything else there. Reading history, tasbeeh records and calendar data stay on your device.
What is the difference between the monthly and annual plans? Only how often you pay, and the cost per month. The features are identical.
Can I use Premium on more than one device? Yes — on every device where you sign in to your Al Islam account.
How do I see what my AI usage costs? The Activity screen in Intelligence shows totals, daily usage, a breakdown by connection and each request. Your provider's own console is the record of what you are billed.
